… since I updated on my work and life here.
Those are my cup for tea – stored on new shelves.
The reason is – many things happened meanwhile. I moved into a new flat and am a flatmate again but with a wonderful spacious room and enough space for productivity and relaxation, lots of light – especially in the morning – and nice flat mates. The area in Berlin is known to be the next big thing in this city since ten years (…or so) but never became one. Good for me and all the other people living here. I am happy to be away from those terribly busy and superficially places that are proven to be the hot thing and suffer from gentrification. After packing and unpacking my beloved belongings (… before packing I got rid of so many stuff – I just kept things I am honestly drawn to) I finally got time to start a new drawing.
It is quite huge and I have to spent some time to finish the hatching. I realized that the solitary objects I have drawn last year aren’t my thing anymore. I really love the framing that is given by a filled background – it makes the main object more lively.
The last weekend I spent some time at my hometown Magdeburg to visit my family and mainly to hang some art in the ophthalmologist practice of a friends mother. It is some sort of an exhibition that shows my work of the last year and marks somehow the beginning of something new. It has been a lot of fun although my friend and his mother did frame and hang the art on their own (I was happy to have my six month old nephew a little longer.) but afterwards we had a funny happening there with photographing each other over and over again – they are very nice people!
